Stretch marks series: Prevention Episode 1!!!

Hi everyone!
So this post will concern as you may have already guessed by the title... STRETCH MARKS!!!
Stretch marks or otherwise known as striae, is a condition more like scarring which is visible on the surface of the skin area. This occurs by the tearing of the dermis. This basically happens when your skin loses it's elasticity and stretches much more than it can handle, causing it to tear and create those horrible and unwanted scars. The bad news is, they never completely disappear BUT they can be highly minimized and also prevented :)
And if you do have them and are self conscious about them, don't worry, your not alone! Statistics show that over 80% of women have stretch marks and a large number of men also
Stretch marks often occur during pregnancy, growth spurts, rapid weight gain and weight loss

Okay so now that I have given some information on them, here is some information on the ingredients used in my video on preventing stretch marks:

Cocoa Butter: This not only has a deliciously chocolate smell to it but it is also quite effective when it comes to preventing and dealing with stretch marks. Cocoa butter contains a very moisturizing property and is often recommended to pregnant women, by keeping your skin moisturized your promoting skin elasticity.
Can be found at: - health food store, online, some pharmacies, specialty shops

Argan Oil: This oil has been nicknamed the miracle oil and believe me I completely agree with that!
I speak from experience when I say this oil truly does help with stretch marks and even skin discoloration ( ever since I started using it on my face, I have noticed a huge difference and my skin is much more clear). It is somewhat considered rare as it can only be found in Morocco and has extraordinary properties. It is mainly very high in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, phenols, phenolic acid and more. It is very moisturizing and effective.
Can be found at: - online, i got mine at trade secrets in Canada

Water: Come one guys... this is a given!! You need water to survive and your skin needs it to stay hydrated just like you so be sure to drink the recommended 8 glasses of water per day to help promote your skins elasticity

Olive oil: This contains monounsaturated fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids,  saturated fatty acids and also Vitamin E. Although this isn't my most recommended oil when it comes to dealing with stretch marks, it is a great one for preventing them! Olive oil helps skin stay healthy and moisturized and that's what you need when your trying to prevent stretch marks

Okay guys so that's it for this post, please follow me on blogspot for more! thanks and love you :)

Natural Tips and Tricks to a better nights sleep

Tip #1 : Never work out right before going to bed! It's a pretty big misconception that if you work out right before going to bed you'll get a better nights sleep because your body will be tired. WRONG. What actually happens is that while exercising your in fact pumping up your heart rate and so after a workout your body and mind feel more awake. Instead try to exercise earlier in the day.

Tip #2: Make sure to eat at least 3 hours before going to bed. When you eat right before going to bed your actually putting more pressure on your body and your also more prone to weight gain if you do so.

Tip #3: Try earplugs. If the noises are whats keeping you awake then put on some earplugs to help you sleep.

Tip #4: Read a book or magazine before sleeping. Reading helps calm you down and is a nice way to prepare your mind and body to a good nights sleep.

Hi fellow bloggers!
As you may have already guessed by the title today's post will be on hair loss and how to treat it,
let's begin shall we;

Causes:
Hair loss can be caused by MANY factors, a few common ones being, hereditary, poor diet, stress etc..

Prevention:
1- Keep a healthy scalp. You can keep a healthy scalp by gently massaging you scalp while in the shower in order to promote blood circulation.

2- Diet. Be sure to maintain a diet rich in VitaminB6, Healthy proteins, Zinc and Vitamin C

3-Heat. Try to keep your beautiful hair away from unnecessary heat as much as possible like straightners, blow dryers etc.. Whenever you will be using any of those, please be sure to apply a heat resisting spray on your hair in order to lower the damage, as the more the damaged the hair the more prone to hair loss it is.

4- Stress. Stress can seriously be your hairs worst enemy and so it is important to try and reduce it.

5 tips to healthier and whiter teeth!

Tip # 1 : Brush 2-3 times a DAY
Brushing after every meal prevents the food to build up and create those nasty stains no one likes! If you can't brush in the morning or after lunch makes sure to brush at night before going to bed, this is going to be the most important brush of the day!

Tip #2: Always floss after a meal or at night
Flossing gets rid of the food residue stuck in those spots between your teeth that you can't see or usually reach with a tooth brush! This also prevents tartar!

Tip #3: Stay away from sugary drinks that stain!
Excessive drinking of drinks like coffee, grape juice and coke often lead to teeth stains, so be sure to watch those drinks carefully! And if you can't stop or reduce your coffee or other staining drinks intake try to drink it with a straw instead, this will move the liquid past your teeth while you drink to keep your teeth looking great!

Tip #4: Always drink lots of WATER!

Yep! Water also helps keep your teeth white, healthy and at there best! By drinking lots of water everyday not only are you helping keep your body healthy but you are also preventing plaque buildup!

Tip #5: Eat your fruits and vegetables!
Cut down on your junk foods and concentrate on your fruits and veggies, this will help keep your teeth healthy, remove plaque, help prevent cavities and will not stain your teeth either!

Hope my tips were helpful and please don't forget to go check out my youtube video on

Introduction to turmeric powder

Since turmeric powder is something I often use in my videos on youtube, I often get asked questions on this powder which is quite unknown to some and so today I decided to post an intro to turmeric powder so you can all get to know a bit more on the subject. So here goes... :)

Turmeric also known as "curcuma longa" is a herbal plant part of the ginger family. A native to tropical South Asia, the plant grounded into a deep orange-yellow powder, is commonly used as a spice in south asian and middle eastern cuisine. Turmeric is also used in Ayurvedic practices for it's many medicinal properties. Not only is it used as an antiseptic for cuts, burns and bruises and as an antibacterial agent but is currently being investigated for possible benefits in Alzheimers disease, cancer, arthritis and other clinical disorders. It is also known to give the skin a glowy finish and also can be used as a natural skin bleacher.
Hope this helped and stay tuned for more posts... meantime stay updated threw my youtube channel:
